Australia’s famed Terra Rossa soil weaves its way into our 45 hectare Wrattonbully estate. In order to expose this soil, we needed to first blast through a thick band of limestone sitting beneath a layer of topsoil. The commitment was made to do so, but the process was a much greater struggle than we imagined. Dynamite, heavy machines and an incredible patience were needed to reach this elusive Terra Rossa soil. However, the commitment and the struggle paid off. The outcome of our hard work can be found in the elegant wines of our estate. A crisp hit of green apple, melon and subtle lime in the nose are followed by delicate acid and soft richness with a clean but lingering finish body.
