Here's a history lesson for you... These two 'observers', one pretty good at botany and the other able to steer a ship, could possibly lay claim to cranking up the Australian wine industry. After all, between 1768 and 1771, on the way past Tahiti to observe the transit of Venus, and around New Zealand, finding it to be in two parts, they stumbled upon the east coast of Australia, observing it a reasonable place to plant vineyards! Sir Joseph Banks Bt KCB FRS (1743-1820) was the plant man, and Captain James Cook FRS RN (1728-1779) did the sailing.

This ruby-red wine, with the flavours of dark berries and fresh cherries of Shiraz, is softened by the ripe opulent cassis flavours of Cabernet Sauvignon, all balanced with a touch of supple spicy oak... a great Australian blend...

13.5% alcohol. VIC. 2008 vintage.
