The family owned Mt Jagged Vineyard is situated 320 metres above sea level in the ranges south of McLaren Vale in the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula. This wine is solely from the Mt Jagged Vineyard from vines with yields of 1-2 tonnes per acre, left on the vine to enable complete ripeness, colour and complexity.

The 75/25 blend of Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon creates a wine with intense berry fruit aromas with well integrated spicy, cedar oak with hints of minty eucalypt. The cool climate spicy berry fruit flavours of raspberry and blackcurrant show through the fine-grained tannin structure. The subtle oak flavours derived from 14 months in French oak balance this wine in a manner that give it great cellaring potential.
