What the vineyard says: The family owned Mt Jagged Vineyard is situated 320 metres above sea level in the ranges south of McLaren Vale in the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula. This wine is solely from the Mt Jagged Vineyard from vines with yields of 2-3 tonnes per acre, with grapes having been left on the vine to enable complete ripeness, colour and complexity and spent 14 months in French oak.

This wine displays intense spice and white pepper with fresh berry fruits and a hint of chocolate and eucalypt on the nose. The palate is very flavoursome, smooth with intense spicy plum and dark cherries with finely integrated dusty oak, with hints of white pepper and spice. A solid tannin backbone and lingering finish will allow this wine to age gracefully for many years to follow. 14% alcohol. 2004 vintage.
